on some satellite receivers, it doesn't matter but on most DTV converters it won't change channels by using the arrow buttons. If the channels don't change, most likely it's from using the up/down arrows instead of the actual channel up/down button. Remote stops working, or only works on some functions and not all. We're not sure why but this seems to be the case with nearly all of the top rated ones on the market.I figured i'd contribute with some of the top issues regarding the use of DTV converter boxes and reception based on my experiences, which were far from successful until recently. Overall, the sound quality for this guy is also rated up there near the top and we haven't seen any others that are better, just a few that rival it. It provides viewers with a near DVD quality picture that is significantly better than what consumers are use to getting while watching analog television. It is just as good as any other converter box that we have looked at to date. Product Details: It comes with some of the best picture quality out of any TV converter box on the market. As an alternative we highly recommend upgrading to a digital television as that is much easier and will more than likely save you money in the long run, rather than going through a bunch of different converter boxes. If you are lucky you may be able to find one on eBay but odds are you'll have to look elsewhere to find a suitable converter boxes to me your digital television needs.
